Cave Glider Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy
Cave Glider is a game by Helldorado Team. This page explains what information the game collects, why, and what you can do about it. We keep it short because the game collects very little.
What the game collects
- Your pilot name. The nickname you choose for the rankings (2 to 12 letters, numbers, spaces or hyphens). It is shown to other players on the leaderboards.
- A pilot ID. A random code our server creates the first time you open the rankings, so your scores stay yours. It is not linked to your name, email, phone number or Apple ID.
- Your flights. For each ranked flight: the course seed, your steering inputs, the score and how long it lasted. Our server replays flights to check scores and to build the leaderboards.
- Crash reports. If the game hits an error or closes unexpectedly, it sends the error details, your device model, the operating system version and the game version, so we can fix the problem. Once per game version it also sends a short start-up check with the same device details. These reports carry a random install code, not your pilot name or pilot ID.
Like any internet service, our server briefly sees your device’s IP address when the game connects to it.
What the game does not collect
No ads, no analytics, no tracking across apps or websites, no location, no contacts, no photos, no microphone, and no account, email or password. Your best score, settings and conquered caverns are stored only on your device.
How we use it
Only to run the leaderboards, keep them fair, and fix crashes. We do not sell or rent your information and we do not use it for advertising.
Who processes it
Our rankings and crash-report server runs on Heroku (Salesforce), which stores this data on our behalf. We do not share it with anyone else, except if the law requires us to.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep pilot names and flights while the leaderboards run, and crash reports only as long as we need them to fix problems. To delete your pilot name and flights, or to report an inappropriate name on a leaderboard, write to us at [email protected] and include your pilot name. Deleting the game removes everything stored on your device.
Children
Cave Glider does not ask for any personal information. If you believe a child has entered personal information as a pilot name, contact us and we will remove it.
